A homestead is usually viewed as a farm or large home/land for self-sufficiency. On the contrary, Barbara Mae's Homestead provides loads of information to help you build your very own homestead. BM Homestead provides tips on makeup, Black haircare, recipes, decorating, art, etc...all things "homestead" that promote self-sufficiency and wellness. This blog is where information on homesteading practices are shared as inspired by my Grandmothers, Dorothy Mae and Barbara Ann. I am on a life mission to depend less on American stores and products as much as I can.
You too, can have a homestead whether living in a small apartment or a large home. You can yield your own crops on a small balcony/porch or on acres of land. You can make your own products with natural resources. No matter where you live or how busy your lifestyle, you can harvest and homestead!
