Pipe Cleaner Twists for Curling Dreadlocks

So I like the pipe cleaner twists for two reasons: (1) to add versatility of styling, and (2) to curl my dreads where the curls will last for about two to three weeks (photos 1 & 2 show the leftover curls from pipe cleaners about 3 weeks ago). Whenever my hair is twisted around pipe cleaners, I call the hairstyles, "bendy" styles. This is literally true because I can bend my hair in whatever shape or form I like. I use my fingers or a pencil to bend the twists around to make curls as shown in photos 4 - 7 above. You can make the curls as long or short or as tight or loose as you like. It's all about preference. Using the pipe cleaners give me a break from my long hair, allows me to wear short curls, and lets me sport my updos without bobby pins stabbing my scalp. Just as soon as I can figure out how to upload videos, I will get the tutorial added on how to twist your hair around pipe cleaners. My way is not the only right way. It is just the way that I prefer to do it. I am not sure how this works on natural or straight (non-dreaded) hair. If you have tried it on your hair and it is not in dreadlocks, comment below! I would love to get your insight. The final look is in photo 8 where my long dreadlocks stay fully curled for several weeks. I just love the results and you would too!
